New Spaces

This blog is about an adventure I’m in the middle of: the pursuit of 16 perfect sunrises.

I was meditating one day, focusing on the silence, stilling the mind, and into this quiet still space flew a tiny toy space ship! Say what? Others get to see the divine purple flame, the face of God or Buddha – I get a toy space craft.

Thinking about it though – as my desire is to create a new space, to lighten up, play a bit more in life and to craft beautiful things – it’s totally appropriate to get a toy space ship.

I’ve just finished renovating and I would like to do it all over again.  But I’m not sure how as I don’t yet have a second property. For now, I acknowledge the impulse. And I acknowledge that I don’t need to own that space, or inhabit it, in fact I’m happy enough to pass on through the space, crafting my way through it.

Did you know that in space, astronauts see 16 different sunrises and sunsets a day?     No, I don’t want to be an astronaut – but I do want to use the metaphor I received, and I do want to see 16 perfect and different sunrises.

To do that I’ll have to follow some core principles:

There are countless books on intuition and on life purpose. In the main they distil down to a few truths – not least of all is the ability to trust the self.

I know what I want (aka what I love to do). I also deeply believe I can have what I need in order to get what I want.

We’re all responsible for ourselves and our learning. So it is up to me to drive the craft and to be clear on my intention, for the intention will inform the direction.

This blog will take me through new places and to new people. It will also provide stories that challenge my commitment and question my intention.

But that’s what space travel is all about.
