About the Blue and Yellow Post
The Blue and Yellow Post is a journal of personal change.
Matters Blue and Yellow.
Based on the most basic colour therapy, Blue matters when you’re still, stable, satisfied, safe, secure and speaking your truth. Did you know that marketers use blue if they want to build trust?
Yellow matters when you’re changing, moving, altering, striving, climbing and creating new ways of thought. Did you know that couples fight more when living in rooms with yellow walls?
This Blog will include posts that are either yellow or blue in nature.
And what of me?
Stripped of colour as well as the layers of fat that characterise me now, this photo of a much skinnier Liz Mead was taken by Anne Zahalka in 1992. I like to see it as a dance on the edge of something. In fact it was taken against a sheet of brown paper in readiness for a photography class she was running at the time. I just happened to be passing.
How many moments do we just happen to pass by and not see? I’m setting a personal goal to learn as much about the new social media as I can - be it a twitter, a tag cloud, a widget or simply managing my photos on flickr. Soon I’ll be talking in binary code. Yeah!!! And sending stuff to Utube!
I’m just lucky I have patient friends and nephews who are adept and at whose 21 (and often younger) feet I sit and learn.
What I lack in widgets, though, I make up for in training, change communications, workshops, planning and presentations. Give me a hostile crowd that needs facilitation and I’m in the zone.
My background in theatre and the Arts has provided a grounding in creative thinking, group work and creating fun. Contact me for information on workshops to address all sorts of corporate and personal communication needs.
If your bent is towards the personal aesthetic, I also paint wall friezes, screens ![]()
and personally commissioned landscapes. Check out the photos on this blog site to see more.
I hope you enjoy reading the Blue and Yellow Post, and if there’s anything that rings a bell with you, send me a comment, and we can connect. Talking of connecting - visit me on linked in another great way of communicating.
Life’s sooooo short - be happy, stay blogging and be sweet.
